Tuesday 6 August 2019 - Lecture Night

Presenter:  Mark Zvirblis

Topic: Slow Shutter Speeds

Mark Zvirblis has worked in a Communications role in the construction industry since the early 1980s, where he has combined his passion for photography with the desire to demonstrate each company’s expertise through high-impact images and interesting, engaging text. During this time he has been fortunate to have had access to some great vantage points, backed by a little-seen collection of his personal work in Australia and overseas.

Mark’s work has been published in Australian Geographic as well as numerous high-quality government and corporate publications.

His presentation will demonstrate his transition from creating slow exposures on an Art Panorama 120-roll-film camera, to slow exposures in the era of digital cameras and “Photoshop”.

This will include creating stitched panoramas from multiple digital time-exposure images.
