Sunday 7th March 2021 from 10:00am - Getting to Know Your Camera Day
Getting to Know Your Camera Day.
Getting to Know your Camera Day is designed as the name implies to familiarise you with the features of your camera and how to correctly operate them.
Will start at 10am, with finishing time and room to be advised closer to the date.
Although we normally run this day as a Face to Face session, we need to also plan for a Covid Limitations. So, we have a plan in place to run the day in a Zoom environment.
Face to Face
We start with a talk on the basics, shutter speeds, aperture, ISO, depth of field, composition and more. Followed by small group sessions with experienced photographers to guide you through those "What does this button do?" and "How do I ....?" questions.
After lunch, we break up into small groups under the guidance of a mentor who will help you to consolidate what you have learned, including depth of field, fill flash, white balance, metering, exposure compensation etc.
Cost for the day will be $10 which includes tea and coffee. There will be a 1 hr lunch break where you can go down to the Restaurant/cafe or bring your own lunch.
Booking and pre-payment is essential as we need to order food and drink from the RSL. Cash payment on the day is not an option. After the closing date numbers are locked in with the RSL, therefor no refunds can be offered. If a lockdown occurs between our closing date and start date, we will endeavour to obtain a refund from the RSL.
