Tuesday 7 February - Lecture night

In the late 80's I became interested in astronomy and was soon intent on taking images of the night sky rather than just observing.
Astronomy, and astro photography were my main interests until 1997 when street lights shining in my eyes as I was driving at night really started to upset me.
I decided to do something about light pollution by forming Sydney Outdoor Lighting Improvement Society Inc. (SOLIS). In 2008 I formed Sydney Northwest Astro Group for the purpose of viewing the night sky closer to home.
